I started PIECES while painting furniture, one piece at a time, to outfit a new home on a tight budget. During this time, painting became the creative outlet that was missing in my life. I began selling privately and at local shops to have some means to support my new habit. I never saw a reason to stop, so I just kept painting.

Like many others in today's DIY world, I became happily wrapped up in the process of searching, finding and reimagining pieces both large and small. At one point, my dear friends Karen and David Jayne (Jayne’s Reliable) said, “you should open a shop”. The short version of the story is that here I am on Main Street USA…in the sweet little town of Dagsboro, Delaware…in this charming little red general store. My husband and I recently purchased the two homes connected to the store property where we are living/renovating at the same time, and we couldn't be happier. 

My vision for Pieces on Main is to share my enthusiasm for painting while offering a variety of new and vintage items to complement a range of styles. Pieces on Main strives to offer useful, affordable home décor, art, and gifts for locals and visitors who pass through our town.

The collection at Pieces on Main is carefully curated and changes frequently featuring items from Sonya Flanagan Vintage, Smart Girl Studios, and Bill Coleman to name a few. For me, mixing old and new pieces together provides a comfortable, welcoming, and interesting space. Pieces on Main is an official stockist of Autentico Paint which is imported from the Netherlands and comes in an array of formulas and colors.
